Spring Trail Course

On a Friday evening at the beginning of April we held an indoor trail class for everyone. The main objective was to wake everyone up (horses and riders) from our long winter hibernation with a non-competitive course of some things you might find on a trail ride.The course had all kinds of challenging tasks, including a wooden bridge, a "bag drag," a mailbox, an L-shaped backup, a dismount-tie up, and movement of rings from one set of cones to another. Some fake trees and balloons were thrown in just for fun! We were all surprised at what spooked one horse but didn't spook another. They were all good sports about the event, and everyone learned something new. We're considering an outdoor trail course for the fall. Stay tuned!
