Hunter Paces 2009

This year a group of our boarders competed in the Erie Hunt and Saddle Club's fall Hunter Pace Series. These are cross-country events, where horse and rider compete to finish as close to a "hunter pace" as possible (determined by an average speed over so many miles). Jumps are fixed and immovable, the course is both countryside and woods. This was the first competition for Jenny and Prowler and for Heidi and Signal. Lauren and Jake joined us on the second pace, despite a steady downpour which made the course a real challenge. Erica and Taz joined in on the third pace. We all had a great time in the series, and are looking forward to next year!
