Barn Renovations

In August of 2008 we began stripping the west end of the barn for a new paint job. This year we really tackled it, using a pressure washer, hand sanding, and major board replacement. Hopefully we won't have to do this again for a few years! The west end of the barn takes the brunt of the wind and weather, and is the main entrance to the horses, so we want it looking nice, and in good condition. Check back for updates!

September 2008 Update:
Special order Flex-Coat barn paint went on like a dream, but still required 2 coats, even brushed on by hand. We went with dark green doors, just for a change. Next, white trim to dress them up a bit.

October 2008 Update:
Finally finished! We really like the white trim on the green doors, it creates such a nice entryway into the barn. We shouldn't have to take this project again for quite a few years!
